How to create and manage Google Ads remarketing lists: A Step by Step Guide

 

Google Ads remarketing lists are a powerful way to target users who have interacted with your website or ads before. Here’s a step-by-step guide to creating and managing remarketing lists:

  1. Sign in to Google Ads: Go to https://ads.google.com/ and sign in with your Google account.
  2. Navigate to the “Audience Manager”: Click on the “Tools & Settings” icon on the top right corner of the page and select “Audience Manager” from the dropdown menu.
  3. Click on “Audience Lists”: From the left-hand side of the page, select “Audience Lists”.
  4. Click on “New audience list”: Click on the blue “+ New audience list” button on the top right corner of the page.
  5. Choose your audience source: Select the type of audience list you want to create. You can choose from website visitors, YouTube users, app users, customer lists, or combination lists.
  6. Set up your audience criteria: Define the audience criteria for your list. For example, if you’re creating a website visitor list, you can choose to include all visitors to your website or visitors who have visited specific pages.
  7. Set membership duration: Choose how long you want to keep users on your list. The default membership duration is 30 days, but you can choose up to 540 days.

  9. Click “Create audience”: Review your settings, and click “Create audience” to create your remarketing list.
  10. Create a remarketing campaign: Navigate to the “Campaigns” tab on the left-hand side of the page and click the blue “+ New campaign” button to create a new campaign.

  13. Select your audience list: In the “Audience” section of your ad group settings, select the remarketing list you just created.
