How do you set up Automatic Placements for your Facebook Ad Sets? A Step by Step Guide

As a Facebook advertiser, it’s crucial to reach your target audience where they spend most of their time. With Automatic Placements, Facebook’s ad delivery system automatically places your ads on various placements, including Facebook, Instagram, Audience Network, and Messenger. In this step-by-step guide, we’ll show you how to set up Automatic Placements for your Facebook Ad Sets.

Step 1: Create a New Ad Set In your Facebook Ads Manager account, navigate to the “Ad Sets” tab, and click the “+ Create” button to create a new ad set.

Step 2: Choose your Campaign and Ad Set Details Select your desired campaign and give your ad set a name. Choose your audience targeting, budget, and schedule.

Step 3: Choose Automatic Placements Under the “Placements” section, select “Automatic Placements” to let Facebook determine the most effective placements for your ads. If you prefer, you can also manually select specific placements by choosing “Edit Placements.”

Step 4: Set Bid Amount In the “Bid Strategy” section, select “Lowest cost” or “Target cost.” Then, enter your bid amount. Facebook will optimize your ad delivery to achieve the lowest cost per result or the target cost per result.

Step 5: Customize Delivery Settings (Optional) Under the “Delivery Optimization” section, you can customize your ad delivery settings by selecting a delivery type, pacing, and scheduling. If you prefer, you can leave these settings as default.

Step 6: Review and Launch Your Ad Set Review your ad set details, and make any necessary changes. Once you’re satisfied with your settings, click “Review” and then “Submit” to launch your ad set.

Facebook will now automatically deliver your ads to the most relevant placements based on your campaign objective and audience targeting. Remember to monitor your ad performance regularly and make any necessary adjustments to optimize your campaign results.
